This week we have a very special guest.Β New York Times best selling author, Pam Grout.
Pam Grout is the author of 20 books including E-Squared, E-Cubed, Thank & Grow Rich and her latest book, The Course in Miracles Experiment: A Starter Kit for Rewiring Your Mind (And Therefore Your World). Plus, sheβs written a travel trilogy for National Geographic. I have to say she was caught off guard when I asked what some of her favorite adventures have been, she has so many cool adventures she couldnβt name her faves, Iβve been a bit star struck by Pam and the way she navigates the world and her life.
Asking Pam to be on the show was a bit of a stretch for me. Not only is she a Big Deal, sheβs also someone I have long admired. But, early one morning as I woke up, my first thought was βI need to interview Pam Grout for the showβ. Since itβs my practice to act on the first thing I think every morning (letβs say 80% of the time, sometimes those first thoughts are a little out there) π
This particular morningβs thought worked out amazingly well and I would love to introduce you to Pam if you donβt already know her and her books. https://pamgrout.com/
Pam encourages us to stay focused on the possibilities in life, not the problems. Sheβs no stranger to heartbreak but absolutely lives her truth.
βYou either live in a problem state or a possibility stateβ. Pam Grout
Pam shares that we tend to participate in the dimension that weβre focused on. Pam encourages people to focus on possibility. The universe is always wanting to bless us, but if you arenβt on the correct field, it goes by unnoticed. Plus, we talk about how using positive energy to help form good habits makes it easier. Your thoughts create your reality
Pamβs AA 2.0 program is something Iβve been practicing for awhile now. Before you jump out of bed in the morning, try doing these two very quick steps:
Step 1. Say a positive affirmation out loud: Example Something amazingly awesome is going to happen today.
Step 2. Think of three things you have to be grateful for.
Done.

Thanks Kelly – Interesting interview with Pam Grout. So how does a not-morning-person MAKE the time to think about the things you and Pam suggested? At least up until the lockdown, my morning thoughts and routine tended to be centered around getting out the door for my first training session of the day. Go to bed earlier? Hmm…Somehow that never seems to happen! I even have a light on a timer with the idea that, OK, when the light goes out it’s time to go to bed…but there’s always one more thing I want to accomplish before I go to bed, and there are other lights I can turn on. Recently, pulling together documentation to refinance my home mortgage, and renew my Physical Therapist Assistant license consumed an inordinate amount of time (thankfully both of those are crossed off the “to do” list finally). Now on to deciding what FIT SENSE, LLC is going to look like going forward; not sure there even is a future for the company (online virtual, and group training just aren’t “my thing” – I want to continue a real-time personal connection with my clients). On the plus side, being at home has allowed me the luxury of paying more attention to my 401K, which is in better shape now than it was at the end of December, 2019, no small feat considering the Dow has dropped from close to 30,000 to ~24,600 late last week. Anyhow, thanks for your positive messaging – soon one of them will sink in! Hugs & best regards – Bill
