You’re not overstepping by showing up for yourself.”Someone recently told me about two women, 59 and 65, both struggling with serious health and mobility issues. From the outside, it looked like their partners weren’t just unsupportive—they were actively ignoring the reality unfolding in front of them.It’s heartbreaking—and honestly, way too common.Here’s the deal: 👉 You can’t force someone to care about their health. 👉 But you can refuse to abandon your own.Years ago, I trained for an adventure race with a partner who thought "movement" meant changing TV channels. At first, I was frustrated. Then I realized: I have to run my race. And no one gets to hold the stopwatch but me.Sometimes we need to set boundaries, not just with snacks, but with expectations.Sometimes we need to not open that cabinet.Sometimes we need to say: “Nope.
